<aside> 🚀 I’ve Created Database Management Application a little different as it is more based on your MySQL practice journey rather than materials embedded into the course.

DISCLAIMER: I do not and will never permit for anyone to place my guides onto paywall sites. They are free to assist fellow WGU students. If I find out someone has done this without my permission, they will be reported. You have been warned.

WGU Academic Authenticity caution has been indicated on the webpage. I have never violated this because my guides never tell students what is on any of the exams for PA or OA.

My notion guides have always been about showing WGU students how to navigate the course material and what to focus studying on. I will never violate policy, so if that is what you want, please look elsewhere; messaging me will not change that.

WGU often has courses that have so much course material that students have a hard time figuring out how to organize their thoughts and where to put the focus. This is where I can assist.

NOTE: As of 5/1/2025 This course has been updated. The Course Instructor Section 8 Labs have been eliminated from Zybooks. If you would like to practice with those labs, they can be still found below under “Zybook Labs”. Section 7 Labs have been moved to Section 1 (I confirmed this 1:1). Section 2 ‘Complex Queries’ has been changed to Section 3. Within the PA includes a reference sheet for syntax.

Section 2 “Database Management Systems” Is not a chapter found in either D426 or D427 in Old Zybooks. All other chapters are the same just in a different order.

What does it Cover? It is a single page with 3 videos that will be quick to go through and it is apparent that is it made by CIs and not Zybooks themselves

  1. Goes into DBMS types and how they interact with other systems (Aka their architecture and the how it interacts with the Database and the API/Users )

  2. DBMS reliability and integrity the importance of following the rules of DBMS so it does not violate integrity

  3. Questions posed when Transitioning from Conceptual to Logical Designs based on Business Needs

Section 2 is quick and worth going through to understand the material, but please dive into my Notion guide for more information. This section is different from the new D426 Section 2

Material that has been removed by Zybooks are already materials not really covered by the exam and thus have little to no bearing on my study guide.

I am providing the differences as a warning in case there are references to Sections (My guide was organized based on topic rather than Zybook specific sections so it should not be confusing).

Before 5/1/2025
