Database Migration Service (DMS)

A fully managed service that enables seamless and efficient migration of databases to AWS, supporting a variety of source and target database engines, while minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity during the migration process.

AWS DataSync

managed data transfer service that simplifies and accelerates moving data between on-premises storage, other cloud providers, and AWS storage services. It automates data transfers, ensuring fast, secure, and reliable movement of files and objects.

Direct Connect

An alternative to a shared Internet connection to AWS; it is a completely private connection from an organization’s on-premises network to the AWS facilities.

Snowball

A service that provides a secure and efficient way to transfer large amounts of data into and out of the AWS Cloud by using physical storage devices, known as Snowball devices, which are shipped to customers and then returned to AWS for data transfer.

AWS Snowball Edge

rugged, portable storage and compute device used for transferring large amounts of data to and from AWS, as well as for local processing and edge computing. It can handle data migration, disaster recovery, and other use cases where physical transfer and local processing are needed.
