  • The study materials provided in sections 1-8 are extremely useful. This is the course to be taking all of the material provided. There is no textbook for the course as of Feb 2024, so the videos and material are pretty quick to run through
    • Some key mentions about certain sections again all are needed
  • Section 3: Computer Hardware and History - Know the hardware inside and out; spend time interacting with it. History will be on the exam, and you will need to know what generation things are at
  • Section 5: Programming and Scripting: go to SQL Programming Basics by Global Academy. They provide resources and a database to play with. Know SQL because you will need to answer questions on it
  • The study guide below helps with most of the material

  • I used Quizlet by placing the resource within Quizlet, applying it using Plus membership, and discussing concepts with Q-chat. I usually work poorly with flashcards, so I took advantage of other features like generating matching and making tests. The AI program can ask questions and apply knowledge to concepts you need clarification on. Make sure the suitable material is loaded before using Q-chat.

  Introduction to IT Study Resource Flashcards

  • Section 7.3 System Development Life Cycle and Software Development Life Cycle: Know the difference. Know how each one works inside and out and how it applies.
  • Section 8 Ethics: Federal Regulations and Laws have long abbreviations; on the exam, they will not be spelled out. Communication Assistance for Law Enforcement Act will be CALE or Electronics Communication Privacy Act ECPA. Know the abbreviations

• OA is an application, not memorization, and it is not identical to the PA
